What do you guys think of the new bike box on Hawthorne?

I go past this thing every day on the way to work but I've never used it. I have to turn left and always just merge into the far left lane. Am I doing it wrong?
If I get stopped it is usually coming off the bridge on grand, then I blow through the green on 7th.
I guess it looks nice and helps give a visual cue that cyclists are around.
I like it, there's another on at third and madison now too.
I've used it. It's nice.
And I think you're doing the right thing for turning left. Someone somewhere mentioned that a "real" bike box would extend the entire street as it's a one-way, allowing you to turn left without merging before the intersection.
They have one up at 11th and Hawthorne also now. I hardly ever have to stop at the Hawthorne lights, there timed pretty well. I do like the one on Madison though, I see a lot of close calls on that intersection.
Yeah, saw the one on Madison today. That will be good, I've almost gotten right hooked a few times there.
When did they put the one in 11th and Hawthorne? I must go ride it today!
i kinda pretend theres a bike box when im riding anyway. i usually just ride up to the front of the line at stop lights. that is what they are intended to do right?
