New bike. And yes, I KNOW the Velocity stickers need to come off. And YES, the handlebars have been re-angled since these photos were taken. And YES, there are now bar plugs on the drops. Anything else?

It's for both street and track use. Changing out the rear tire when I race on the track, of course, though.

Put some black soyo grips on there (unless they have purple that matches well). Would be pimp.

Coo. Never heard of Champs until you mentioned them, but looks pretty straight forward and good to me.

After a year now the rubber in my soyos is cracking a little. I think im gonna try some Strong-Gs next time. Cause the G must stand for gangsta. Hah.

Totally. It was a good time. It was hot out and it took quite awhile to finish...but my legs are sore today and I always really like that feeling.

Nicely done! I love yer wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeelz. My new frame should get here in the next couple of days. Pretty excited about it. I've been riding a conversion that is too big for me for quite some time now, so I'm curious how the new ride will feel.

Same one you and Jonah have! I ordered it from Bike Island. I read about them in quite a few threads here, and thought I'd follow suit since everyone else seemed to like 'em, and they're a pretty killer deal considering I was *this* close to pulling the trigger on a Cdale Track... hard to justify that price tag!

Aw, thanks. It's a little heavy for a track bike...but it's also really strong/durable. I'm very pleased with how it turned out. It took fucking forever, cost me an insane amount of money in the end, and is nothing like I originally envisioned it...but I'm totally into it.

  5.

haha yeah thats totally how it is. Mine luckily came in budget, however it turned out WAY different than my vision when I started the project. Its kinda fun to see the progression and evolution of building a bike. i was hell bent on getting the wood grain deep v's when i first started thinking about it...had no intention of doing gold n black.

weren't you going for green in the beginning?

I know huh... well, deliciousfuture was lucky enough to end up with the one off Craigslist for $350 (still bitter about that one!), and I was going to have to break open a couple extra piggy banks & down a half.rack.of.whatever for the C-dale Track mychew is/was selling. To answer your question, I picked up the 53cm in black... pretty sure that was my only option.

  6.

andy, if your talking about the c'dale capo, you made a wise choice, the capo, despite what c'dale sez has no where near the geometry of the 90's track that err1 loves.

and for $200 to your door, you do get a sweet deal on the TT. reynolds 531 tubes, lugged fork crown and nice geometry. they are a nice classy M-O-R kinda frame.

Totally! It's so weird. It was a huge back and forth. I wanted so much purple on it at one point. I don't really know what I was thinking. But I really like the simplistic look of just the rims, hubs and chain being purple (although a silver chain will be swapped out tonight).

And, yes, haha, I was totally going for green/blue/teal or something initially. I was going to get it powdercoated and do a teal/purple theme or some shit...but I really like it the way it is. Not too flashy...I love your bike, too. It also has a minimalist thing going on and isn't flashy but is still really gorgeous and practical. Diggin it.
