I need to be there sometime Friday to see the Olympic Trials 10K. I have some hope for Craigslist rideshare, but things are complicated by me working 3pm-10pm on both Thursday and Saturday.

So: long-ass bike ride? Anyone done it before? Got routes? I'm a little leery since my lifetime longest is an even century, and here I'd be doing like 40% more on back-to-back days. But desperate times call for desperate measures, like they say. i guess the return trip on saturday would have to start at dawn... ah jeez.

but give me a route and, good god, i'll try.

(p.s. i have an old trek 1500 with the geared-ness to make this at least somewhat possible)

or - do any busses run to eugene?

There's the route I plan on taking when I (eventually) do this ride.

But yeah, you can also take the bus or train. It should cost ~$40 round trip. I did it all the time during the school year.

  1.

the greyhound runs 2 times a day 3 on weekends and costs $20 each way.
