    I'm going to guess you know something about this. Was he drugged up because it doesn't seem like some of those things could be acted. Although if he was on something, I s'pose one of the first things he would do would be to rip off those false appendages. really nuts. when he opens the second paint bottle...kinda frightening, in all seriousness.

    Nah...actually not at all. It's performance art. He involved the audience in his pieces most of the time. It made them part of the "piece".

    performance art bugs me sometimes. like that guy McCarthy. His stuff neither pushed our social conventions further nor bettered anything directly through his art. It wasn't transcendent of anything and it wasn't (imho) beautiful in any recognizable way. It's supposed to be edgy and all that, but progress for it's own sake is not progress at all (is that a famous quote?)
