    so i just bought an ipod shuffle after not having a portable music device for more than a year. i figured it'd be really nice for long rides and stuff. in doing so i have created the most amazing playlist of some of the best music to ride to, the qualifiers being that it is bad ass, up tempo, and makes you ride harder than you might be inclined to.

    the list consists of these bands thus far (i'm sure there's a million bands you'd want to see here but these are the bands i'm listening to right now)

    bad dudes

    blank dogs
    the buzzcocks
    les savy fav

    oh man I was listening to THE MALL at work tonight while closing, and well almost every night I close. I love that damned record.

    M83 is awesome, and so is pelican. rad.

    I like the second half of Kanyes new album. Homecoming is the best song on there.

    right now it's some elton john! ha.

    way good, I just saw them at backspace and they blew me away. It's weird they use orange amps and use effects as well...hardcore is changing for the better. :)

    I have fire and water, really good. I've been on a huge vheissu kick though. ANd I liked reading about how they wrote all the songs and what not.

    I am not really familiar with song names...but yeah the show was tight. Everyone I was with really dug it.

    awesome.

    "kids" is the one with the chorus "control yourself, take only what you need from me" and the kind of cheesy synth melody throughout. they didn't play it at holocene, just let the backing track go and tried to get the audience to sing it after going offstage for like 10 minutes.
