    Hi!
    My name's Cassady. I am making an impromptu move out to Portland in a couple of weeks, and I'm looking for a room to rent/place to crash for a week or two. I just started posting my resume on Craig's List and Monster and have a couple of job offers in a couple different areas. I am going to be out there around mid-June after I get a couple more checks from my present job in Michigan. I'm preferably looking for a lower-cost room with male or female roommates. I'm 18 and your standard issue small town college kid trying to get the eff out of dodge. I'm a pretty chill person, and spend my free time riding my bike or reading/listening to music. I would love to live with some other cyclists who are chilled out people. I'm a smoker and a casual drinker. I will cook and clean for you too!

    I'm doing the exact same thing, moving from Lincoln, NE. I've been having a really hard time finding a roommate, because as you can probably guess most people won't really be interested in moving in with someone they've never met before who doesn't live in town :/ and studios follow a rule of 500$=225 sq feet. Expensive. There are quite a few nice houses around on craigslist though, two bedrooms etc. Let me know what you're thinking...

    You can definitely crash in my studio with me for awhile if you need to. I live downtown in NW right on Burnside. Pretty nice place, it's just me and the cat. Washer and dryer in the unit. Super accessible to everything. It's only a studio but it's updated and cute. I'm 21 and work full time downtown. I would only charge you $400 a month. I've actually been thinking about looking for someone to share the place.

    Hey dudes, I'm gonna be gone for about 4 weeks this summer. Starting around June 27th and gonna be gone till July 30th or so. If you or anyone you know needs a place to stay for 150 bucks that month lemme know. It's an unfinished basement in NE that I call home.

    if you go north enough it's nice i hear. it also adds ten miles to the commute.

    i want to live in the alpenrose under the bleachers, but i think people might jail me for that.

    Ehhhh. Vancouver is not that great. If you wanna go somewhere really nice, go allllll the way up to Olympia. That's where it's at.

    Haha, they're just cement steps so there isn't really anything to sleep under. But yeah, ten miles is a sweet commute.

    i saw a trailer for a documentary on grocery cart racing... those guys are amazing. one guy got kicked out of his tree.
    also saw a news story where someone actually made a whole treehouse. he got kicked out too, by the law.

    i have a ton of respect for that plan i just know that i also don't have what it takes.

    Just be like, "Yo, I'm Tarzan, popo." They won't bother you after that, unless it's to haul you away to jail and/or a psychiatric hospital. Neither of those places are pleasant.

    Awesome documentary = Muderball. If I were a parapeligic, I would totally do up wheelchair rugby.

    well i just blew all my monies on a road frame, ss conversion kit, and rear "i should be wearing spandex" mavic so i can commute without worrying about my brakeless kilo killing me. i know this isn't PDXsinglespeed but hey, i like brakes and my deep v's are NMSW.

    hopefully once it's built i won't need to worry about the commute from vancouver being too much to take. is the minnehaha area nice?
