Dude I saw some ghetto dudes walking out of hot topic with gnarred up black jeans and facepaint.
that's hot. ok, we may be moving earlier. jvan, more details - i've got the lotion out.
Max is NOW!:remy:we're looking for cheap. don't really care if its "ghetto"
Just a note: there's no "ghettos" here. And anyone who says otherwise has never lived in / been in a "ghetto" before.
That price range you should do fine.
p.s. I had some "friends" mention that there were "gang members" in one area of Portland they were looking to live. What they meant was "black people," not "gang members"
Are you sure, Max? I swear I saw eminem working on his Camaro out on foster and like 123rd.

Yo guys, if anybody sees this in the next several weeks, my wife, stepdaughter and I are moving back to PDX in about a month or so, and we be lookin for fresh digs closer in than 102nd, preferably not too far South of Reed, or North of Ainsworth, Westside is okay, too as long as it's not on the Westside of the West Hills. We're open to considering a roommate or two, but they have to be VERY kid-friendly, VERY drug-free, VERY non-smoking and VERY mature. (But not old and saggy) We would not like to pay more than $1000 for our share of rent, which should be two bedrooms and a bathroom or so. Thanks a ton in advance for any help!!

offence:Hi Portland riders, I hope this post dosen't get me kicked off the forums, but I found myself in a predicament and needed to reach out to my fellow riders. I have been living in Vancouver Canada for the last 2 years where I was very involved in the racing and riding community up there. I was living illegal status doing what I could to get by (did a bunch of silkscreened shirts for SuperChamp, great shop, check it if up north), and cooking etc. Well I came home to visit my family and when trying to get back in to Canada got deported. So I am back home in Portland, which I am happy about, but I need a room to rent for the next 6 months until my fiance is done with school. So if anyone needs or knows of someone who needs a roomie, I would really like to live with a good person who is into riding and the culture that goes with it. I am light due to not being able to get any belongings, but my fiance is brining the Bob Jackson I just built once I get a place. Anyway, if anyone knows of a room, I would really appreciate the lead.
Thanks ..Leaf
Sounds like a responsible individual.
i have a friend looking for a room. he has a dog. and a desalvo. anyone got anything?
I'm in Portland right now with my girlfriend. We are staying with BicyCOLE near PSU until tomorrow. Our flight leaves around noon. We checked out a few apts in the Pearl District and the Essex building near 3rd and Madison. Places look pretty legit, but a bit more than we'd like to spend.
One bedroom/bathroom
Dog friendly (10lb Beagle)
No carpet
Close to downtown
I could go on with things that are ideal, but I've seen how you rip apart others that know what they want.
The city is amazing. I'm from Los Angeles and I'm way more into Portland than LA. So much cleaner, the puplic transit is noticably more efficient. The skateparks are dialed. Everything is just more of what we want with where we live. It gives off the SF vibe, but cleaner.
Anyways....
you forgot wetter...
Did you ever find a place?
We're also still looking...
We have about a month until we will be desperate to move in.
We need 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, close-in, cheap rent, lots of storage.
Nope, we haven't found a place yet. We have been focusing more on things we need to handle here first, like figuring out what I'm going to do with my stuff in storage. Damn, moving is a pain in the ass.
TELL ME ABOUT IT!!
I have spent the past 5 days moving my shit from Bend to my storage unit in Gresham, and I have one more van load of shit to unpack tomorrow! I'm so over it, it makes me want to puke.
7 van loads and one 17' U-Haul load.... Marriage is fun!! (I don't blame my wife, but combining two lives full of shit makes for quite a heavy load)
Good Luck!
If you need help when you get here, holler at me...
im looking for a place asap
im pretty poor, dont care if its a hole in the wall or some basement at your moms house anything will work

holla
So I have an interesting situation, and I really need to fill my house either with temporary roommates or long term ones. The house is in North Portland 7203 N Denver 4.5m from the city. What you get I have hi speed, cable, fireplace, wii,Detached Garage, wood floors down stairs, fucked up carpet I think I will try to get out upstairs. The house is stocked with every thing. What I am renting out. There is a loft room upstairs smaller and a living area horse shoe shaped & a basement that is fucking huge 35x35 with 8' ceilings and warmer than the rest of the house. Oh ya there is a washer and dryer in the basement. I am cleaning up the basement this weekend it has a sofa, recliner, sewing machine, and dresser. Who I am they call me Sharky and I have been a messenger forever, and I am older than you. Also there will be my 6 year old son Velo and the only reason I am keeping this house or I would be on a plane to Philly tomorrow.I am way laid back, and my son is cool as shit and at this point will be here only every other week. Now for the situation that I will share just because. I left town for a week because I was mentally, and physically feeling crushed. My wife decided to move next door because we were having some issues, and her friend who rented the loft decided she wanted to live with a friend to save some cash. The bills are in my name and are inclusive in rent, and I am not in to fleecing any one with move in cost's.There are two other rooms on the main floor. One is mine the other is my son"s if worse comes to worse I might switch up the whole fucking thing. If you wanted to move in tomorrow you could.I also have a Subaru Forester and could help any one out that needs it with moving. I am not drinking at the moment, but unless you plan on shooting up in the bathroom I am pretty liberal to whatever you do. Just be cool to my son, oh ya I have a siamese cat, but he also goes back an forth next door go figure. Let me know my email is sharky61@yahoo.com, or my # is 503-901-2333 or just come by I don't care. Thanks, sorry this is so fucking long.
you might want to say how much, or did i just miss that?
Yeah, I also need a new place by the first. I got a back up plan, if I dont find one. But I'd prefer to find one. Also interested in how muce the rooms are sharky?

RENT MY ROOM
11' x 11' room in a great 5 bedroom house in close-in North Portland. Two large South facing windows let in tons of light, which is then reflected off of brand new yellow paint to create a room full of sunshine. There is a decent sized closet, hardwood floors and central heat. Wireless internet is available but there is no home phone or television.
You will be responsible for 1/5th of bills, which comes to about 50-75/mo in the winter time. Move in costs are simply your first month, plus $100 security deposit. Move in date is somewhat flexible. Let me know if you need to be in sooner or later than Jan 1st and I will do my best to work with you.
We are all in our mid twenties, and looking for someone probably 23-35. Thats more of a guideline than a rule however. Come check the place out!
N Williams at N Beech
$475/mo
There is potential possibility for it to turn into a more permanent thing, but I'm not certain.
Anybody know of any house-like stuff opening up soon.
Dan and I are looking for something with 2 bedrooms, workspace, possibly a garden like area.
