    sweet. six days... front wheel came in the mail today, but i was out so i got a fedex note instead. "iou one wheel".

    did the six of y'all get the frames or the complete one? i know amy and krysten's are buildups, what about the others?

    also: does anyone know what size stem clamp / handlebars comes stock? and if i wanted to browse around to those, i'd just need to know:

    1 1/8th threadless
    stem clamp size > or = handlebar size (clamp)

    am i missing anything?

    yep all of em. word has it that the steerer tube comes huge so 50cm folk have to use like a million spacers.

    another q: does 1" or 1 1/8" refer just to the steerer tube, or the entire fork? if i get a 1" fork, will it work (with different headset, stem) or be throwing a football down a hallway?

    %100 certain they are either 1" threaded or 1" threadless. kinda depends of which batch your bikes comes from. bars are 26mm clamp area 25.4 tube.

    Mine was a buildup too. Ordered the frame from Bike Island.

    mine came here on tuesday, i took her to work... couple "forgot im not on a 14-speed" hiccups (one where i tried to coast, take my hands off the bars and sit up right at the same time... not sure how i rode that one out). but otherwise great.

    but im an idiot who didnt tighten the lockring, so rear hub got stripped already.

    the specs say its a fixed-free, can i use the other side? "suicide hub" style (not entirely sure what that means)?

    just need something for about two weeks, gonna get cxp 22's.

    size and color are amazing though. i thought a 50 was risking too small, but its awesome.

    stock bars got replaced with b123s, pedals with old platforms and metal cages.

    yahoo!

    yes, you can rock it "suicidehub" style. just use jb weld and a bb lockring. and tighten it like no other.

    I might be the thirstiest dude to ever ride a kilo.

    Anyway - it was feeling too damn... PRACTICAL with multiple hand positions and bar tape (opposed to the naked b123s that i had on there for a while), a million water bottles and a brake and a light and clipless set-up, so i put yu gi oh stickers on the stem and seatpost and an otter postcard in the rear wheel.

    It's been an awesome ride since doug fixed the rear hub, got me to multnomah falls and back without any complaint.

    Pedals have gone from stock ones (which are only good for LOOKING like foot retention) to shimano clips that came stock on my road bike to LOOK pedals stolen from my road bike to its own clipless ones (shimanos, set up for some lance armstrong shoes).

    Got black aerohead rims on the way to build up... some black cinelli road stem, too. And, yea, new cranks that were partially an impulse buy after a shitty day of work.

    Funny story - when I got my brake from citybikes, there was another near-new green kilo on a stand outside, i talk to its rider for a little bit about what we've swapped out. We're both there getting brakes; he says, "yea, the bottoms of my shoes were starting to wear thru".... huh?
