All I can think of is PeeWee's big Adventure, has there been any mainstream bike movies

If anyone says B.I.K.E, I will need a lengthy reason why!

  2.

B.I.K.E. isn't about any biking at all.
It's about a effing filmmaker and his strung out girlfriend.

There's a film called Eat!Sleep?Bikes? , thats a quick documentary of about a 508 mile, non stop ride, through Furnace Creak California on fixed gear bike, I cannot remember the name of the team that rode it, team bonobo or something like that but pretty dang impressive, massive climbs,

Also a film called "We just work here" which follows the workers of Santa Cruz Bicycle, pretty cool, all types of riding.

and I film I have not seen, but told it's really good is Track Kaiju - about the Monster Trak - alleycat held in NYC.

    Nasu: Summer in Andalusia.

Japanese animation, great storyline. Someone loaded the whole thing onto youtube at a couple of years ago, but I can only find the trailer now. Bummer, because it's hands down my favorite cycling movie. Bummer too because the song in the trailer will make you want to smash yourself in the face with something blunt.

    quicksilver for sure.

there was this one japanese one that had keirin racing in it but i can't remember the damn name

still we ride a doc. featuring eddy mercx

    OMGmashOMG not really haha.

pedal is another doc. that i enjoyed.

there's one that i was just reading about called 'rush it' where bike messengers fall in love! awwww....
"messengers' looks good too.-"Naomi, a successful fashion press agent, is having a bad day. Her business is shut down, everything she has is repossesed, and she accidentally runs down a bicycle messenger with her car. To get out of paying for the messenger's medical bills, she agrees to take his place at the struggling courier company he and his friend run. Though she hates the job at first, she soon comes to see its good points, and helps the company's owner, Suzuki, to win a valuable courier contract away from a bullying motorcycle messenger service."

hmmm i really want to figure out that one japanese one though.

My friend just finished a documentary called "The Destruction of A Bicycle" - it's pretty terrifying. If you want to see a really nice bike torn into pieces and thoroughly abused, I'll try to dig up the link and send it to you. She's an art student in San Francisco and she absolutely hates cyclists (I'm really not sure how we became friends...), so the film is her way of expressing that hate, I guess. It's basically 45 minutes of people fucking ruining a bike. It's shot in a weird, artistic way with scary music. I don't like it.

Does anyone have Triplets of Bellville or a Sunday in Hell they could let me borrow (or burn copy of)?

I could compensate by letting you borrow Mash or Pedal.

The library (Mult. Co.) has 8 copies of A Sunday in Hell. Anyone know where to find Triplets of Bellville?

There is a movie called 2 1/2 seconds about a girl down hill racer who becomes a messenger in Toronto? or Montreal? but the girl is so cute. You could find it at Movie Madness in the foreign section under Canada.
