fizik's are nasty as a rule. decent amount of them are 'vegan', a little pricey though.

i just put some SLR type saddle that came stock on a felt road bike. got it from veloce for $15, would not be a bad place to start looking.

if you want something womyn specific WTB's deva is sworn by. WTB's in general are suppose to be nice but they don't look too fancy

san marco makes great saddles. go with that. fiziks are nice, but way overpriced. i actually have a velo saddle by specialized that is pretty f-ing nice.

I super-love my selle italia flite. its really beat up, but it sure is comfy.

  3.

Ariones. Friend gave me a worn in older style a while back and I got a couple of the new wing flex ones used...good stuff.

  4.

i like my turbo, but everyones got a different ass so really you gotta try a few out.

River city will at least let you mount one up and sit on it before you buy...

But I've taken to buying used and trying lots of different shapes until i found this turbo that i like, which is funny cuz it looks like it would give you ass cancer from how uncomfortable looking it is.

I wish i had a brooks shaped ass cuz i really like those even though they are made from dead stuff.

    good luck

hey there is a few fizik ariones at city bikes cheap, well cheap-er...

Dude. Buy a used saddle. One, you're reusing something; two, you can get the mad deals on CL/eBay. I swooped a mid-90s Specialized BG saddle (some dude took it off of his Allez and never used it) for $9. It's comfyyyyy.

used leather is legit on some fronts and sketch on others (according to some vegans)

nah cause it is still an animal product and some just aren't trying to use any period

another thing is it perpetuates the fashion of it which could cause people to go buy new

global economy and animal death are not at all mutually exclusive.

the problem is exploitation, but this is not the place.

I try to avoid leather regardless of if it's new or used. I do make an exception for things that are gifted to me from family members and stuff...I admit to owning a couple of pairs of heels that are made from leather that my grandma bought me.

  7.

I found a Selle san Marco concors Supercorsa last night in my garage. mint condition, straight out of the 80's. I started to flail about and speak in tongues when my dad said he had never mounted it, and he was just kind of waiting to mount it on his old Girardengo roadie. true, it's made of tanned and dyed ungulate hide, but i still salivate uncontrollably when i think about it.
