Yeah, if you're going to do it, do it right. I ride Toshis and have ridden MKS doubles, both are very nice. Kashimax doubles are supposed to be really nice. A homemade DIY doublizer with two regular straps would likely be better than Somas and cost the same or less. Oh and Boston Jeff is doing his own DIY double straps, you just gotta provide him with the hardware (from old straps) and some $$$ (not that much, he's charging a fair price) and last I heard they're way legit...

Don't know, possibly. He's also an independent mechanic and if I remember right, still a courier. Short guy, short hair, Boston accent, red track bike.

well, i've been drooling over toshi's for months now. i might as well just save for a week or so and get the fuckers anyway.

there were a pair of used red ones attached to a pair of classic mks pedals on cl earlier, but i was too slow, and dude sold the straps and cages.

i need to be quick like bunny...

a friend of mine needs a 22.2 seatpost for an old peugeot conversion. lemme know thanks.

22.2 is a standard mountain bike sizing (aka 7/8"). your pal can get one anywhere.

    NOW.

i am in search of a 23.4mm seatpost for my peugy - have been calling/emailing shops/posting on forums nationwide and even UK and France.

it's. impossible. it's the last thing to finish on this build and i just didn't even think to check this detail before i bought the frame but it's such a wonky size that they're just not around. my cousin's got a lead on one from a big box store in the UK, but until I actually get it, I won't believe that it's readily available.

i know i can junk this bike and start over on another cheap frame, or buy an equally cheap peugeot and part it out, but i'm also thinking....someone's gotta have an old one junked in their garage or in their parents' shed or something.

    maybe?

cool, what time do you work thurs/fri? and where again (at the risk of losing pdxfixed points for not knowing the ins and outs of yung jeezy pdx)?

  9.
    yung jeezy pdx:

    shim?

going to try again this weekend - made one the other night that was passable (since my seat is practically on top of the tube since i'm a shorty), but the torqueing the hell out of the clamp wasn't enough to stop the seat from spinning around in a very unsafe way.

  10.

    bigger shim?

You gotta pay to play. Or you you can adopt a non-trendy dog from animal control/SPCA/whatever they have in Portland since they actually need it.

  13.

i dont want a pug for trend. there are traits specific to the breed that meet my needs. if i wanted a dog for trend i wouldn't be requesting an adult dog either.

I have owned a couple adult/elder dogs from various rescue agencies including a greyhound who was sooo sweet (i wish more people adopted them) anyhow, yeah i know you have to "pay to play" i'm just putting it out there in case anyone has or knows of one. so please no comments unless you can help.

    Thanks! :)

Yeah pugs are so trendy right now Alex they're almost as bad as Pitbulls... or as we like to call them at the Dog rescue mission "pits". So fucking trendy.
