ok. so if you feel that bike fits you well, measure the effective top tube and buy another frame set to match, simple as that.
yeah duder seat tube affect nothing but looks hence "compact frames" with sloping TTs like the redline 925. which i hear is sweet bike BTW. the pake dosent look all "time trial or pursuit" with forward slanting top tube...it's just like the TT in that respect.
dude...520 reynolds versus 4130 ? c'mon with an arospoke on a pake you might as well ride a beach cruiser that things gonna be a tank.
unless you can get a pake for under a C-note get the TT
do the damn thing!
Reynolds 520 is just their variety of 4130. Not a whole lot different, but 520 is double butted.
jerome, a 130 dollar headset isnt going to make you go faster.
^ o no he didn't ^
i dont have an arrospoke. i wish i did, just kidding. whats a c note?
$100
about a bill
oh, thanks duderz
here's the reply I got from CK:
Thank you for taking the time to contact us here at Chris King Precision Components, and appreciate the patience in a response. Our bearings, just like everything we produce, are made in our facility in NW Portland, Oregon, actually two walls from where I am typing you now. Raw bar-stock comes in from the back door and leaves as the finished bearings/products. Nothing is sourced outside of our facility with the exception of our t-shirts (American Apparel, made in Los Angeles), and a couple other soft goods. Let me know if this clears up any confusion, and if you have any further questions!

yup yup, alloy wise, 520 is the same as 4130, that just what reynolds calls it when they draw, forge and roll it into tubes. I didn't mean to imply that anything other than the double butting is responsible for the weight and ride.
Jennx:it's one of those things that say for example something happens to your frame you can still take that headset with, as with others but at least it's gonna last.
Completely agreed.

sorry i just couldn't let you be right...
Reading how sustainable CK is makes me love them even more and want to put one of their headsets on all my bikes, even if it is overkill.
Too bad itd be more wasteful to replace the working headsets I have now.
