My boss from Boston is in PDX today and he said that yesterday was fucking 95 degrees there. And I just got off the phone with my friend in Boston who said she can barely stay in her house because it's hotter inside since she doesn't have AC.
I'm in my house right now and I dont have AC, My poor cat is dying for shade, i've been up for 30 min. and i'm sweating like a kid that is in a hot apartment with no AC. It's 94 degrees, but the shitty thing is the humidity. I cheerish my work for ac during the summer and heat during the winter. New England sucks cause the seasons are extreme. I rode my bike to/from work in this weather saturday, bad idea.

Yuck. Wait...so you live in Boston. Are you planning to move to Portland?
i live in NH which is 45 minutes N of boston. I lived in PDX in 2003. I plan on heading back within the first week (depending on my drive) of October. So if you know of any housing avail. or tattoo shops looking for an artsit around that time, let me know!

You'll have to wait until September to look into housing, really. And there are rarely tattoo shops actually in Portland that are hiring. You might have to go to Vancouver or Corvallis or something to find that kind of work.
tepr:Hello I'm tepr, I post a bit over at tarckbike.com
I really go by Kevin, and I will be a sophomore at Lewis and Clark in the fall. I remember two people in this thread saying they were starting LC this year, that's tight. There's a few of us that ride fixed and we'll be sure to meet up. Holla @ ya boy if you want.
Anyway I ride a Mercier Kilo TT and I will post some pictars of it later today hopefully. I love photography more than I love bikes, and I have a website with a gallery of some of my stuff. Unfortunately I lost all of my photos in a hard drive crash, so I had limited pickings, but yeah. http://theoxfordcomma.com/site/photo.html
Anyway I'm back home in the East SF Bay for the summer, but I can't wait to get back up to pdx and when I do I'd like to meet you guys. Thanks for having me.
Psyched that there are so many people from L&C on this board. Hopefully I'll meet you in a couple of months.

Well perhaps you should get with it, Skidz.
i built this so i can commute without getting brakeless tickets

i want to do the front wheel with a plastic disc or maybe just a bunch of cd's, and get stickers all over it and make it say scat bomb or eat scat or something gross.
Charlief2.8's samba bike is the sexiest thing i have ever seen. Also, I'm Dan. I ride a dark blue and white Trek conversion and I can frequently be seen riding with Bryan. The End.
Hi Guys, David's the name. I have ridden with a few of you kids and hope to ride with a few more. I actually don't own a fixed gear bike yet...Can we still be friends? I am buying a new bike Monday, and a joyous day it will be. My turn ons are heavy electronic music, cookies with an inch of cream from Sweet Pea's, and biking anywhere and everywhere.
Greetings!

i saw some dude on a fixed one of those who had blacked out the letters to say "satan." way too metal for me but it actually worked pretty well...

also i just made the connection that you're cc700 from bikeforums. i'm delicious. when did you move out here?
He's still in So Cal. I actually just met him a few days ago.
I think he said he was staying here till the end of the month?
Then Portland.
We already have inside jokes.
What up! I'm Andy, 26, from Seattle. Moving to the area soon! Pretty excited about it. I grew up in Vancouver, so PDX isn't too foreign to me. Anyway, can't remember how I came across your site, but thanks for having me! I'll be around all weekend, so I'm definitely planning on riding, drinking some beer, and hopefully meeting some of you. I hear it's Pedalpalooza? ...sounds like fun. Might have to check that out.
My ride: Bridgestone conversion. Nothing special. It used to be all white, but I recently painted it. The color didn't turn out quite like I had imagined it. Not sure where the olive green came from. It's no where near the cap color, but whatever, I don't feel like starting over anytime soon.

Peace!

deliciousfuture:also i just made the connection that you're cc700 from bikeforums. i'm delicious. when did you move out here?
yeah, my initials are cc but i'm getting tired of my overly alphanumeric name, everyone asks what my name is so this just makes it easier.
when did i move?
in about two weeks hahaha
i'm actually going to be moving soon and i wanted to lurk so i've been posting in three threads: this one, the "where to live" thread, and the thread started about me because 1.4 is a larger aperature :)
i'm really psyched to move because i hate orange county, i just moved from NC to OC in january and will be staying in eugene from the 25th to whenever i get a new job. any bike shops hiring? haha.

vneck:.
is this alex's pink deep V introducing itself???
that would be me attempting to introduce myself but failing due to technical difficulties
good
yo vneck, try that introduction again. or is the introduction symbolic... "i am an infinitesimal point in space"... cuz that'd be cool.
Pj:yo vneck, try that introduction again. or is the introduction symbolic... "i am an infinitesimal point in space"... cuz that'd be cool.
Haha, no, that would be really lame.
Half of you know me. And though I read this forum over Doug's shoulder, I got an account anyway. So this is my intro duction. I am Amy. I really hate being called someones "other half" but I can accept being called doug's "better half" - that will work.
I ride a white 53cm Kilo TT with a custom carbon fork and cinelli altar stem with nitto b123's as of yesterday. And we just put some new cranks (Sugino's) on it and added an Aheadset to replace my shitty ghettoset. We will be lacing up a custom wheelset soon, but for now I ride non-matching pista hubs laced to a Campy Atlanta in the back and a Campy somethingorother in the front. I used to push like 80 gear inches but Doug got up in my face about it so now i am runnin 16t to 44t at 72.9 . . So use your imagination and you will have a picture of my bike.
But since I like to put myself on display here's pix of my bike that got wreckd like your face...

(i blinked)
i bring the sex back into fisexed gear.
Amy! I never saw your old bike...so pretty. And you're looking pretty damn good yourself. Doug's a lucky guy.

I am also good at the following;
Looking good without a needle in my arm.
Looking good with my clothes on.
and
Looking good without the use of beer goggles.
at what point did the lack of clothes get associated with inebriates and narcotics?
i look terrible in clothes.
