Thanks man! Though I don't think it's anywhere near as cool as your panasonic :/

This is true, I've seen it with my own eyes.

kinda like joe's steamroller painted brown and named the manheim steamer:)

I was looking at the swobo sanchez at Rivercity Bicycles, isn't the emblem a shopping cart as I recall? bizarre
Im Eilif from Corvallis OR, I have a Mizutani fixed gear conversion, and a Centurion polo bike fixed gear. you might have seen me at WSI8 playing polo. I have the bike painted up like a tiger and the sheet metal wheel disk with the shark face on it. Ill post some pictures some time, camera is busted at the moment.
Yo!
I'm Charlie, I ride a threadless Kilo TT frameset, and I'm friend-challenged. My parents live in Eugene so I'm big on that town and have taken some classes at that school that quacks that I don't know if I can mention on here. I love Oregon and I'm moving to either Portland or Vancouver, WA in about a month--I'm super psyched about it.
I wanted to join up to see what PDX is all about and see if there are a lot of riders in Vancouver... so expect me to lurk around a bit and hopefully I can ride with some of you in the near future! I'm going to be job hunting and hope to commute by pedal power, so we'll see how that goes.
My bike looks like a shoe.
pics of the bike?

matching front dp for brakeless but i was thinking of putting a brake on when i took this photo. my brake is just a nashbar jail road front with a goldfinger lever, or i have a set of road drops if i want to run both brakes on my freewheel wheelset. threadless is the business for changing bars! thizz face for threadless.
after bombing and climbing hills for 23 miles with no brakes last night i'm glad i have a machined set of wheels available, haha
damn, thats a really clean build. i like its lots! lovin those cranks.
thanks! i just got them on last week... my old set was sugino vp's from an 80s road bike and when i pulled them off i noticed drive side was 170, left was 165!!! i couldn't believe it hah... but yeah i'm really liking these.
they look sick. are they the anodized sugino messengers?
Dude. That bike is absolutely beautiful. Come party with us.
partyzz!
And it does look like a shoe, haha!
They're kazane 144 cranks from keirin culture... the anodizing is no where near as nice as sugino's stuff but they're functionally 90% of the quality for half the coin, and i'm poor.
down to party! let's ride! i can't wait to be in oregon again.

how much were they? they look really nice. thats all that matters anyway right? fashion over functiion everyday, TEAMTARCK!
Haha, totally. When will you be in PDX?
im francis
living in NE portland
just started fixed gear riding and below is my fixie conversion fron an 80s Schwinn road bike

welcome francis. ive seen you around school i think
loving the yellow stays francis!
i'll be in the area this time next month for sure. i'm coming via eugene so it depends where i find work, i might have to stay in eugene. i leave my current job on the 20th, and i have something i'm doing pro-bono style meanwhile but need something at least part time to pay bills with... so i will be job hunting in pdx while i'm crashing in eugene.
and i hope i can rep teamtarck, is there some kind of initiation? shitty 3mph legovers? i'm king of those.
just got a sticker, now my bike really looks like my shoe!

Diggin your bike, Francis.
you just have to have a tarckbike. and drink beerz. the gold qualifies your bike as tarck. im not so sure of the beerz yet though
don't you think francis should get a yellow tire or wheel.....to go with the yellow on the back
yung jeezy pdx:you just have to have a tarckbike. and drink beerz. the gold qualifies your bike as tarck. im not so sure of the beerz yet though
you do not have to drink beers to be tarck
good point. we have to have the rules of tarck.
Hello I'm tepr, I post a bit over at tarckbike.com
I really go by Kevin, and I will be a sophomore at Lewis and Clark in the fall. I remember two people in this thread saying they were starting LC this year, that's tight. There's a few of us that ride fixed and we'll be sure to meet up. Holla @ ya boy if you want.
Anyway I ride a Mercier Kilo TT and I will post some pictars of it later today hopefully. I love photography more than I love bikes, and I have a website with a gallery of some of my stuff. Unfortunately I lost all of my photos in a hard drive crash, so I had limited pickings, but yeah. http://theoxfordcomma.com/site/photo.html
Anyway I'm back home in the East SF Bay for the summer, but I can't wait to get back up to pdx and when I do I'd like to meet you guys. Thanks for having me.

this is my bike theo

this is me
tepr:
this is me
please don't kill me.
seriously though, welcome to the site, and please don't kill me.
I won't kill you, I promise.
charlief2.8:down to party! let's ride! i can't wait to be in oregon again.
Haha. I've seen you on LAfixed. You need to come out to one of our Costa Mesa rides before you bail. I'm out of California on the 20th bound for Portland as well. I'm sure we'll bump into each other in the P, but it would be awesome to establish some inside jokes before we leave the sunshine.

heck yes, that sounds sweet. i get off work at 6 so if there's traffic i would miss most of the rides, but i went to OCCM a week or two back and want to go to a monday or tuesday ride. i think i'll miss tonight's... sad face.
but yeah sometime before the 20th for sure. that's the day i get off work.
I don't think I officially met you, but I was one of the vest guys. I was actually the last vest guy in the group (with the puffy paint, and bedazzle'd logo). Tonight's ride starts at 7, but we will wait if needed (read:if you want to cruise up/down). Let me know, or whisper me on LAfix (Margarita Monday) if you are interested. I'm Teen Idol there as well. Just like John Stamos.
Linking up California rides on PDXfixed FTW.
