i gotta make my tallbike look like that
yung jeezy pdx:hello and whatsup? did you powdercoat your pake?
Nah, its from bikesdirect.com. Comes blank. Way more cool/hip than my other bikes though.
they sell pakes on bikesdirect? link?
might have been a bit drunk on the last one, its bikeisland.com. And, the frame/fork is only $200.
you mean the kilo tt? thats the only track frame they have.
yeah, i mean the kilo tt. its the same exact frame as the pake and probably several others. i believe the two names are owned by some dude in FLA. he just slaps some stickers on an import (taiwachinajapanese?).
Very different bikes dude.
yeah. just checked the geo. and you're right. i'm semi-track and apparently misinformed. ...but still happy with my rig.
really small differences too.
Like the seat tube has this reinforcement taper on the pakes.
oh, and i'd like to be at the waffle ride but my bald boss is making me be at work. hmm, considering outs.
Max, my kilo tt has that same taper, its not as dramatic as on the pake, but its def there.
A friend of mine tells me: Mercier = KHS Flite 100 = Spicer. I realize Pake isn't one from the list, but somehow thought it was.
i don't know if the spicer and khs flite 100 have continued to change as the mercier has, but they started out the same
the pake is definitely a different frame
pake is straight gauge also
pake is straight funk
playground_terror:pake is straight funk

the bottom half of him reminds me of uncle phil from fresh prince.

Already tried.
None of these punks wants to play.
Now I just jack bandanas from everybody in hopes that someone, somewhere is playing....
Oh, but a new game is starting. It will start soon. Here's a glimpse.

I LIKE IT!
it makes more sense now than how you described it before
I'll try to keep this in mind next time I come out of the store to find somebody I don't know hunched over my bike trying to jam something in the spokes.
No, really, I promise not to stab you.

Alyse! You're friends with Maxx, right? You and I hung out at the Powerhouse a few times.
yes! bike tag!
bike tag?

murder bike:blah blah blah
follow up... new ride:

angle is... unique
yeah, i was putting the drops back on after fucking with some risers for a couple minutes and it just ended up like that. haven't even done any riding with that angle yet.
please don't...
i'm not planning on it. i'd fix it now, but i'm not sober enough.
Fix the drops, since they are for aesthetic purposes anyway, and put those spokecards in your rear wheel.
That may or may not be an order.
dudes bike looks busted as hell...
amidst the conversations, here's another introduction...
i'm pj. just got my first fixed built 5 days ago. i had the frame and wheelset for a year before finally accepting help building it. i was all set on building it myself, but i'm too new to bike building and tool-less to know what the hell to do. next time around, i'll build a beater. and then i can do it myself and fuck it up and not worry about wasting a month's pay. anyways. she's a sexy mutt... pake track frame, eddie merckx fork, sugino 75 cranks, deep Vs... i'm attempting a crappy macbook picture here...

i've wanted a fixie since i first saw one in action. it's the control and simplicity i love. i've had a road bike for a few years and she's wonderful and all, but not even close to the same level of control & connection. i'd love to ride with others, as so few of my friends are fixed... i want to learn the moves, yo!
come to radderday, 5pm under the eastside of the hawthorne bridge today

i fixed the drops. but the spokecards are staying in the front.

well i ended up taking a ride this morning with them like that and quickly realized that it didn't enhance my riding at all. more uncomfortable than anything.
that's what i get for trying to look pretty.

Almost done... just need a silver stem/seatpost :D
saw this on velospace. looks sick. where did you get your decals?
They are vinyl stickers
http://www.stickerz.com/ <--
Great site, reasonable prices. They can even cut images out of vinyl, which I'll probably do for a headbadge eventually (using a USPS stamp right now, haha).
Thanks for the compliment man, I love this bike more than life :D And if you keep your eyes open, you'll see it flashing around the streets of Portland after the 27th of June :D
cool. thanks man. lets ride for sure
