Nah, its from bikesdirect.com. Comes blank. Way more cool/hip than my other bikes though.

might have been a bit drunk on the last one, its bikeisland.com. And, the frame/fork is only $200.

  3.

you mean the kilo tt? thats the only track frame they have.

    • CommentTimeMay 28th 2008

yeah, i mean the kilo tt. its the same exact frame as the pake and probably several others. i believe the two names are owned by some dude in FLA. he just slaps some stickers on an import (taiwachinajapanese?).

yeah. just checked the geo. and you're right. i'm semi-track and apparently misinformed. ...but still happy with my rig.

  5.

    really small differences too.
Like the seat tube has this reinforcement taper on the pakes.

A friend of mine tells me: Mercier = KHS Flite 100 = Spicer. I realize Pake isn't one from the list, but somehow thought it was.

i don't know if the spicer and khs flite 100 have continued to change as the mercier has, but they started out the same

the pake is definitely a different frame

Fix the drops, since they are for aesthetic purposes anyway, and put those spokecards in your rear wheel.

That may or may not be an order.

dudes bike looks busted as hell...

amidst the conversations, here's another introduction...

i'm pj. just got my first fixed built 5 days ago. i had the frame and wheelset for a year before finally accepting help building it. i was all set on building it myself, but i'm too new to bike building and tool-less to know what the hell to do. next time around, i'll build a beater. and then i can do it myself and fuck it up and not worry about wasting a month's pay. anyways. she's a sexy mutt... pake track frame, eddie merckx fork, sugino 75 cranks, deep Vs... i'm attempting a crappy macbook picture here...

i've wanted a fixie since i first saw one in action. it's the control and simplicity i love. i've had a road bike for a few years and she's wonderful and all, but not even close to the same level of control & connection. i'd love to ride with others, as so few of my friends are fixed... i want to learn the moves, yo!

well i ended up taking a ride this morning with them like that and quickly realized that it didn't enhance my riding at all. more uncomfortable than anything.

that's what i get for trying to look pretty.

    They are vinyl stickers
    http://www.stickerz.com/ <--
Great site, reasonable prices. They can even cut images out of vinyl, which I'll probably do for a headbadge eventually (using a USPS stamp right now, haha).
Thanks for the compliment man, I love this bike more than life :D And if you keep your eyes open, you'll see it flashing around the streets of Portland after the 27th of June :D
