    oh hey thanks for helping me post the pic!
    t-minus 4 days, 7 hours and counting..
    just picked up my borrowed freight bike box,
    steamroller is lounging around with his shoes off.
    i'm bringing a fender but i hope i won't need to use it.
    if the weather starts looking super terrible i'll just bring my cross bike.
    staying stoked!

    why would i need straps and cages? its not a fixed gear.
    and no those bars are really NOT necessary haahhahahahaha
    i felt pretty mt. dew commercial silly going down 4th at 16mph aero'ing it up w/ a scarf on.
    but i just had to try them out today.
    i usually have some nice drops and a very long stem.

    do they keep the spoke cards in on the daily? because they look pretty.
    coaster brake until i die.
    i really cannot use straps or clips because depending on the situation i may need to footbrake or bail.
    and trackstanding is out of the question with a coaster, with the crank play.
    maybe death wish next summer. or take off the chain and scooter around.... with aero's =D

    sounds good to me, no worries, slow can be relaxing. sides I'm driving up from SF the first, so I'll be tired as hell the second. what's a good way to get a hold of you?

    Okay, so apparently I need to introduce myself...
    I'm Josh, and I'm kind of a dick. Probably a combination of some years spent living in Chicago & having a poor attitude in general. I race for the Ironclad Performance Wear Cycling Team, and I'm a cat 3 for road races, criteriums, time trials & stage racing, but a lowly cat 5 on the track since I rarely make it out there. I do enjoy track pursuits, but they only do those once each year at Alpenrose.
    I work at New Seasons and I spend my free time racing, training & making out with cuties. I also enjoy watching movies, drinking too much soda & listening to music. I am from Alaska, anyone with a knowledge of state flags may recognize me by my pac designs messenger bag with the Alaskan flag embroidered upon it. I also run a small record label and release lots of esoteric electronic & noise albums that a select few people in the world care about. I like to drink, but don't do so very often so I like to make up for it by getting smashed beyond the limits of decency when I do tie one on.
    Umm...that's all I can think of right now. If someone wants to tell me how to post pictures here, I have some funny ones. I'm computer dumb & kind of a dork, as you can see.

    Oh yeah, and I'm 28 years young. Also, to whomever said that Alpenrose is the steepest velodrome in the country, it is not. Close though.

    And here's the lad in happier times, in time trial mode for a 6 lap solo breakaway victory in a category 3/4 PIR circuit race. I went at the beginning of lap 6 in a 12 lap race, and improbably I was able to stay away for the win against some very strong contenders. One of the guys I beat went on to win the category 3 Mississippi criterium just a few weeks later.

    And the post race celebration with my teammates at a park in North Portland. We're classy like that!
