What's up guys I'm Sean from Phoenix, you might know me from other boards (SF/LA fixed, honda-tech, shoe forums etc). I'll be living here in Portland (SE side, it sucks :( ) until August when I start my new job in LA. I like to take photos and I'm just getting over being sick. Went on my first ride today and the hills here are killing me :P Anyway I know basically nobody from PDX so I'll check this site to see what's up with rides and stuff. I only have two bikes with me while I'm up here so you'll catch me riding either of the two bikes below.

My Bomber Pro

I look forward to meeting some of you.
SE sucks?
Where I am it does, I'm by Clackamas Town Center. Unless there is a bunch of cool stuff I am somehow missing haha.
Welcome Sean!
Beautiful bikes. You should come check out some of the Alleycat races this weekend. They should be a good time, even if you just want to spectate and hang out.
Welcome y'all new kids.
Honda tech? CARS!!!?
kidding, kidding...
Nice to meet you, Sean. I'm Brian. I'm in LA heading up to PDX, we will just miss each other. I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay! Ride safe, and watch out for the Ptown Po... they are total fuckers.
ted:Welcome Sean!

Thanks for the kind words. Where do they start/end? I'm pretty much just being a bum w/ no job until I leave so I should be able to attend unless I am doing a photoshoot.

Haha yup cars :P That's what brings me to LA, some magazine actually wants to pay me to photograph and write about them. And yea I've heard/read that they are pretty sucky, I still need to try and figure out what is and isn't illegal so I can work on my BS stories for them. I *thought* the no-brake on fixed law passed but I guess not, also not sure on helmets. As a matter of fact does anyone know of a place I can find all bike-laws for PDX? A link would be greatly appreciated.
You can get cited for not having a brake, but usually you can just show up to court with a brake on your bike and they will throw away the ticket. Wear a helmet if you want to.
There is a thread for the Graduate Race on Saturday and then there is also the Party Pants race on sunday at noon at Irving Park.
You *only* have *two* $1000+ track bikes while staying in Portland for the Summer? That's a sad story! Someone start this kid a bike fund!
why thank you krysten!
not gonna lie my bike is a total dreamboat, and cant wait to hit the streets of portland!!!
yung jeezy....that pake is from san diego. its totally the land of pakes here
I'm liking the bikes, Sean. I used to own a Peloton for about two weeks until I sold it off. You like it much? Does it have that sweet "DESIGNED BY SHITAMORI" sticker on the chainstay?
He started some shit. NE baby!
i'm right off burnside on the north side, but I do miss my inner SE.
sweet otter, jocelyn. i wish i was driving down to san diego right now to rage. *sad*

deliciousfuture:You *only* have *two* $1000+ track bikes while staying in Portland for the Summer? That's a sad story! Someone start this kid a bike fund!
Yep had to leave the rest in storage... along with all of my gearing and tools :(
stumptown:I'm liking the bikes, Sean. I used to own a Peloton for about two weeks until I sold it off. You like it much? Does it have that sweet "DESIGNED BY SHITAMORI" sticker on the chainstay?
Thanks, yes the Peloton is great. It does indeed have the sticker you are referring to, it's on the non-drive side. I really need to rebuild the headset though, or at least tighten it. The last time I rode the bike I crashed the shit out of it (See pic above) and just put it back together before I came out here and the headset is rattling (what a surprise :P ). Other than that it's a great bike, the color is amazing.
Sup, buds! My name's Brian, but my middle name's Chad, so yeah, I sort of go by Chad. Call me Chad. Chad Cokeington. I'm kind of a big deal. I grew up in Manhattan, went to Harvard, and then, of course, Harvard Business School. Anywho, just made a ton of money off my Monsanto shares so I decided to stop trading and retire at the ripe old age of 28. I recently moved in with my brother Tré and his roommate Brad... some great place up in the West Hills– total bachelor pad, but not too lavish... only like 15,000 square feet. I'm totally in love with Portland. So quaint, and I just love the rain– gives me an excuse to use up my stash of Xanax. I really wanted to embrace that whole Northwest vibe, so I had Sacha over at Vanilla build me this killer track bike. But enough talk, let's get down to brass tacks here. Picture time!
Check out my handsome face. The chicks totally dig me. Chhyah!

Here's my bike. His name is K-Lay; after Kenneth Lay, the former CEO of Enron. I have his poster on my wall.

When I'm not riding, Tré and I usually head down to the MAC. Bloody Marys and racquetball. Need I say more?

Sometimes when I'm too hungover or I feel totally spun from a three day coke binge, I keep my bike in the house and hit the town in this little number... Yeah, that's a 1986 M3. Mint condish, baby.

Say, do you have a sister?
Sorry for that. Not being able to walk has lead to severe boredom.
HA! Thank you Brian.
