charlief2.8:at what point did the lack of clothes get associated with inebriates and narcotics?
i look terrible in clothes.
... Do you look terrible in clothes sober or under the influence?
sober, then worse under the influence.
then again i'm not one to be turned on by a pair of jeans. i mean, not just any pair of jeans.
charlief2.8:sober, then worse under the influence.

Which is why people tend to get naked under the influence.
as far as i'm concerned the only problem with getting naked is people who don't have enough respect for the person inside the skin. objectification is fundamentally exclusive from substance abuse.
that dissonance is what prompted my response, as needles in arms are repulsive in an entirely different way than someone who objectifies flesh... and yet they were listed together as freedom from needles and wearing clothes. that's somewhat of a curveball.
I'm pretty sure Amy was joking...
i'm pretty sure i'm not good at picking up on that kind of thing. all the same, i thought it was interesting.
Well, I mean, she does look good with/without all of those things.
everyone looks cool in that johnny thunders/keith richardsesque kinda way with a needle hangin outta their arm. But then you either die like Johnny or end up looking like keith and i want no part of either one.
next thing to quit:

i posted a picture a couple pages back but i'm too lazy to go find it.
Hey, I'm Anita. I moved from DC in September and thought about getting this domain name, but I'm glad I didn't because I probably don't know anyone that would have joined. My bike count right now is at 3: a Cannondale road bike, beater in the basement that I'm going to do a conversion on eventually, and a Pista (it was $350 and I want to try racing track, what's the Pistadex in PDX these days?). I want to get a San Jose for cross, do any of you do it?
welcome anita! i havent done cross, but it looks like so much fun! hopefully ill do a few races this fall,

Hey, welcome! If you want help with that conversion, let me know, I'd love to hang out and watch or whatever. I think the PistaDex is somewhere around $550 or something. My team has a small number of people doing cross, I'm trying to get into it, but I find it slightly terrifying...not sure I'm ready to commit to buying a bike before I try it. Have you been doing it long? I'd love to borrow a bike from someone to get out there for a test run.
I've never done it, I almost had a bike to test last year at Estacada but it didn't work out. I figure the San Jose is versatile enough to be a commuting/touring bike if cross eats me up and spits me out, the reviews for it on BikeForums are great.
I've never done a conversion before Krysten, I noticed you're doing one this weekend, can I come watch? And I've never been on a track, I'd love to tag along sometime to that too, but won't have a track bike until July.
you can rent a bike for 5 dolla at the track.

I think that Alex has a San Jose, so he might be able to speak to them. We should get involved with cross together!
I'm actually not doing a converstion this weekend, I'm just building up my track bike. But I'm pretty sure I'm capable of doing one, so let me know and we can work on it together.
Track is amazing and there's no need for a track bike yet...you can rent them for $5 out at Alpenrose.
pistas are track bikes.
yung jeezy pdx:pistas are track bikes.
Oh I forgot you said you had a Pista, Anita. Yeah, you can just ride that on the track.
The Pista won't be in PDX until July 8th :(

the mashed up berries you put on sandwiches.
i dont know? krysten uses it alot. it hink it means like epidemy or something, krysten plez elaborate
check above post.
i saw that after i posted.
1. Jerome. The word you were looking for is epitome.
2. Hudson. If Jerome had spelled the word properly, he would have been correct.
If I say something is "my jam" or "the jam" that means I really like it.
And for future reference, "epidemy" pertains to an epidemic disease.
oh well.
yung jeezy pdx:oh well.
Love youuuu.

Doesn't epitome generally have an "of ______" tacked on to the end in order for it to make sense?
Just giving you shit, Krysten :)

Haha, yes, it does. I think Jerome was trying to say "the epitome of something" not "epitome or something"
Ohh, worrrd; I should've guessed.

Drink of the Nazis, a la Coca-Cola. Way tastier than IBM's douple-dipping escapades.
bschultz:Drink of the Nazis, a la Coca-Cola. Way tastier than IBM's douple-dipping escapades.
what
Once WWII broke out, Coca-Cola could not longer sell syrup to Germany. Desperate to make moniez, the Yerman Coca-Cola bottling plants created Fanta. After WWII, Coca-Cola brought Fanta to the US. IBM sold the Nazis machines that were used in concentration camps.
oh. well i will drink my nazi soda and enjoy it anyway. (although tonight i did the dew)
did pol pot invent mountain dew?
