    So we got a bunch of people signed up on the site yesterday and I'd like to see what people are looking to get out of it.

    I'll go first.

    - I want to see a fun social weekday ride that ends up somewhere for beers
    - I want to be part of fast weekend group rides
    - I want to see people competing in fixed gear road races, SS cyclocross, and SS mountain biking.

    What do you want to see?

    ditto on the first point, and the second.

    further, i'd like to see this site used and maintained as a bastion of support and camaraderie for the portland fixed gear community, messenger and 'fakenger' alike. the air is rapidly turning sour as more and more folks begin to acquire fixies and more attention is being paid to them.

    we need to be careful and carING, and not fall prey to nasty vibes, slimy spite, and other general flamery.

    let's offer advice, assistance, and friendship instead.

    I want to see a community of riders here to help each other out. Whether that be planning group rides, letting each other know about dangerous drivers, or just filling in people new to the city. It looks like its already shaping up to be that. I don't care if someone is a professional messenger or just biking for fun, if you like bikes and live in Portland, this should be the place for you.

    i want to be able to find cool people in my area (when i move there) to ride with
    i want to have a chill ride...doesn't have to be a solid group, that goes out to get some grub every once in a while.
    OOH OOH, maybe some book clubs? i like reading...hope someone else shares my love!

    i'm just expecting a great way to interact with people who are like-minded, and appreciate similar things. not too hard to do on this site.

    I want a forum that is open minded and more one point than BFSSFG. That forum is just frustrating. I never end up posting cause it's a waste of time. Nothing worthwhile is ever discussed there.

    This forum has a lot of potential; Portland, Bikes, sense of community. I like where this is going.

    I think I'm going to change the wording on this slightly and use it in an about section.
