Hey, All!
Thought I'd share a recent documentary a friend of mine made for a communications class; (as you probably gathered from the title) it's about biking in Portland. She was super rushed to complete it, so it's safe to say it's not a 100% comprehensive view of the cycling and the resulting subculture(s). She only had me (who has only been riding in Ptown for a year, lived here for two) and some other duder (who didn't know much about anything) to use as references. But wait... there's more... there are also a few table scraps of footage from MASH2MASH, so, who knows, you might be in there. So, yeah... have a look, it's not very long, and I'd love to hear what you all think– constructive feedback would be awesome, as I'm sure she'd appreciate hearing it from people in "the know." Thanks!
Do you go to LC? That looks like it was filmed in the Coop.

Yep, and it was indeed; the Heady Grow-Op holds it down, fo'sh.
For a school project its good. There was some shots I really liked.
I know time was very much against your friend, but for something called 'Bike PDX' it lacked surveying the overall bike culture I think. It needed to get like some old commuter lady who loves biking in there.
Much better than any attempt at film I did in college. Kudos.
Your friend should post that footage of Mash2Mash BTW.

That's an awesome idea. I'll let her know, as she may continue the project.
awww i know she wanted to interview me but i was in the middle of starting the race and told her to come talk to me over at the satyricon. I never found her.
it was a pretty cool movie
I liked it. I saw myself in the first section of the M2M footie.
My favorite part was the straight cut of the guy w/o helmet to w helmet. :)
