You really dont want to see his crap. Normally I dont have a problem with racial or sexist humor because the comic doesnt mean a damn thing by it. But Mencia's "humor" is nothing but racial, and done poorly at that.
It's actually a toss up between Michal Moore and Carlos Mencia for who I hate more

I dont agree with all of Michael Moore, but at least he is putting material out there and a few ideas worth further discussion. Dont know if I can say the same for Mencia.
Oh and a confession… Somedays I think this job will cause my hair to fall out and become an alcoholic. But at least they support the latter by giving the studio a keg.

Because there aren't that many of us and because we get a lot of shit for it. History tells a nice little story about all kinds of minorities that get shit for whatever reason banding together. It's just human nature.

true. i think when you make a personal choice be it veganism, religion, or whatever...its personal and the only reason one should need to talk about it constantly or bring it up all the time only tells me they made that choice for the wrong reasons.

I agree to an extent. I also think there is nothing wrong with being excited about something you're into. I get excited when I hear about other vegans, because I think it is a fun, positive and healthy lifestyle choice. A lot of people who are religious feel the exact same way. I like talking about riding bikes, which is a personal thing that I love. I think you can share those interests with other people. What I don't agree with is people who get angry at people for not being vegan, or not being religious, or not doing whatever. That's pointless.

I've gone back and forth with this kind of stuff. For me it's become almost exclusively internalized though. If someone asks me if I want a beer I'll decline, if they push I'll say I don't drink, if they keep going I'll say it doesn't interest me. The last thing I want to do is drop "straight edge". Because while it does encompass a lot of things that i think are "fun, positive, and healthy lifestyle choices" (well maybe not fun), it's a label that I don't like. There's too much extra involved with it, the music, the "scene", jackasses in SLC in the 90s. I'm not saying "vegan" is the same, but I feel that when you involve labels it isn't hard for other things to get lumped in.
I also don't really call myself "vegetarian" much because I don't really see the need. To me they're choices I've made for myself and don't really connect with others because of them. I completely understand the camaraderie discussed above though.

I don't agree. I feel like the environment affects everyone; and the simple fact that factory feed lots release 18 percent of the greenhouse gases in the united states is reason enough to bring it up.
