I WANT a geared bike.

I have an obsession with my little ponies.

For the first 3 years I was in Portland I had a good old mtn bike, I rode it maybe 4 times total during period of my life.

When I finally did flat that bike I took it to REI to get it fixed.

I love my geared bike (but its not as fun as the fixed)

i don't know as much as i think about bikes.

I go on this website because it makes me laugh, I really have no interest in bikes whatsoever, I don't even own a bike, when I talk about riding my bike I'm really talking about riding around in my H2. I ride a fixed gear moped.

i carry a 5/8 or crescent with me at all times, just in case someone offers to give me a ride (in a car)

Looks like I got purged from BFSSFG too. What the fuck! I don't even misbehave... that much. It was probably my parody thread about motorists being so slow and unable to keep up with totally rad fast fixed dudez that sent the moderators boiling over the edge >:[

the hell? you had one of the few on-topic threads there last i checked. the moderators there are ridiculous.

welcome to the majority of people on track bikes on the street.

you should check out alpenrose though, it's the shit. the steep walls totally make it for me. my first impression was that it was like skating a bowl, but on your track (tarck?) bike. but yeah, definitely a good time if you can get some people down to go.

and about the purge... i think they just closed BFSSFG altogether. oh well. i remember last summer they were talking about doing it too... i need a vacation.

i worked as a courier on a mountain bike in san francisco in the late 90s. oh, and i worked for transerv. they loaned me a bag because i didn't have my own. i was desperate for a job and needed to eat. on my second day i had to ask a veteran in front of sharper image how to patch a tube because i didn't know how. it was a very humbling experience.

i didn't get a fixed gear until i moved to portland in 2000. i bought it from bike central for $550 because i couldn't afford a nice geared bike. now i'm hooked.
