Whoa... that might be a bit too exciting for my tastes. Haha. That's the one on MLK right? I'll be there with bells on (it's an expression. I will not be wearing bells).

Haha, thanks for the clarification. I have this tendency to run late...so meet me there at 6:00 PM? And the place on 39th closes at 7:00 PM so maybe I can enlist your help in hurrying me along with my chain purchase at River City?

As long as you aren't asking for advice on which chain to get, then yes. I can sit there rolling my eyes, and constantly checking a watch that I'm not wearing, while tapping my foot impatiently. I'm real good at that. It'll seem just like you're in an much less intense episode of 24.

I don't know what time the store on the island closes, but we could stop there, grab some 'rewskis and have a little fire pon de beach.... Also, the rents have a trampoline, if y'all feel like getting loco.

Sauvies Island is an island the size of Manhattan about 10 miles out from the industrial area/pearl district/23rd area.

I'm sure you're more than welcome to come.

Its not Sauvies it plain ol Sauvie.

"Laurent Sauvie, for whom the island is named, was a French Canadian employee of the Hudson Bay Company. Sauvie oversaw dairy farms on the island for the Hudson Bay Company and supplied goods for Fort Vancouver."

ALMOST LIEK GULLAH GULLAH ISLAND :D

Right, but instead of calling it Sauvie Island a lot of people refer to it as Sauvie's (as in, the island belonging to Sauvie).

Yeah, that's what my parents have always said, so it gets ingrained. The island is approximately the same size as Manhattan, although, that is a something my mom said over dinner the other night, so it could be untrue.

St. Johns. By the bridge. But, I slept at my friend's house last night, and I am in desparate need of a shower, and I have some shit I have to take care of, so riding back out won't go down for a few hours.
Edit: however, in a few hours, I'm down to grab a beer somewhere....

Cass and I rode through traffic just for shits last night then ran into Hudson at Voodoo. Spent several hours sitting out front because the most amazing homeless dudes were throwing out fresh rhymes about the environment and poverty. Plus, apparently Hudson is Peter Pan, I'm weird, and Cassady is spacey. Real talk, though, I'm fucking weird as hell.

That's funny. I ended up at Bar 15, right around the corner. Haha. Random. On our side, we had a homeless dude without any rhymes, but he did have an extensive jibberish vocabulary. When I left the bar, I saw him almost get beat down by a huge dude holding a fan, and a tripod. It was interesting to say the least.

and i kept trying to tell him that peter pan was a lucky guy who got it on with wendy.

I'm definitely interested in a ride, I've only gone on one real ride with someone else so far. I live on SW Broadway at Columbia, but I've got strong leggers that will bike anywhere. Or fly, if I'm in the mood.

Fucccck, you guys are going to hate me. My coach has told me not to ride to Sauvie's today in preparation for the State Champs this weekend. I'm getting serously fucked out events that I can't do now...but I can do a shorter ride and I can also hang out. Might be interested in riding up to the track tonight. Anyone?

Jeremy, I'm bummed we can't spandex, paceline, and wheelie past entire teams of roadies. But the time will come, eventually.
