On Alberta.
What's this place all about? I am volunteering there this Saturday morning for my company's community service initiative.
i go there around once a monthish since its the closest shop to my house. It's rare that I leave feeling I had a positive experience.

So it this place like the Recyclery or is this a non-profit?

id have to agree.
not quite sure. although they have good used stuff and free tools. there good if you need a quick fix up. other than that they wanted 3 bucks to take my freewheel off.
boo
they've always been really cool to me, and they do a lot of great stuff for the community.
its a non profit. they do serve the community with their classes and giving away free bikes to those in need, which is great. however i don't feel like their actual shop is doing any service to the community with its high prices and less than pleasant staff.
My company makes their employees volunteer once per year and CCC was one of the choices. Should be interesting...
despite my feelings for the shop i would still love to volunteer there, but im at work during their volunteer mechanics time.
I'll see you saturday greg, I got roped into helping out.
What is your real name? I'll be there from 8:30-noon.
Doug, and I'll get there as early as i can, but my GF needs help getting dressed (broken clavicle) so I have to wait for her to get up.....
didn't make it, the train station turned into a major debacle....
hope you and yer co-workers had fun, just keep in mind how the kids get so stoked on those holday bike drive bikes...
It was a pretty cool time-there were 20 of us or so and I wrenched on the little children's bikes.
The CCC is awesome for buying small parts, cheap..
