See you there, stumptown.
I'm gonna make it out there one of these days. I think it would be just the motivation I need to quit smoking.
Just for the record, its nice and sunny out here. Pretty much like yesterday
Woo!
On another update, its now warn enough that you really dont need any warm cloths. Granted, you'll want to bring some for the end of the class, but its awesome right now
Im headed out there in about an hour

Yay!
Damnit. I have to work a little late tonight. Not gonna make class. Boo.
Yeah I was about to say. I didn't see anyone immediately resembling you there. It was fun times though, I'm improving paceline skills and looking to race soon... too bad my shit is jank for the track right now, fork is bent and rear tire is squared.

Yeah, sorry, couldn't get out of here in time. But I'll be racing on Friday, say hi if you're out there!
So I did the math. I was on my bike for a grand total of 6.5 hours yesterday. And I'm off to a workout in an hour.
Good freakin times

Meh. People have raced on worse man. Come out to FTF. It will (hopefully) be my first time racing it tomorrow.
I'm going on the safety perspective bro. This bike does not trail very straight when you have a relaxed upper body going through the corners. Although I may still race it, I dunno.

$5 GT my friend.
It's possible. Gotta take the measurements and figure out seat height and all that jazz.
Their seats have QR. Just get there a little early and mess with it till it feels good. Bring your own pedals and shoes (but im sure you know that). They bikes probably arent amazing, but good enough for that Kevin H guy to beat everyone in the 5s, 4s and 3s in points races.

Totally. You can change out the saddle, wheels and pedals. FYI - they usually have a 16t cog on one side and a 14t on the other. You'll have to ask if you want a 15t, they usually throw a different wheel with a 15 already on it instead of changing the cog.
Bumpin it. I'll be there at the track tonight; sorry dudes, not gonna make Tabor for the totally awesome spectating/drinking/BBQing sesh. Say hi if you see me, I ride a grey KHS and blue/green argyle team jersey.
ill be there too. is anyone driving back to norf east afterwords????? that might have an extra seat/room for a bike???? if not no biggie, i got my ballin' trimet pass.
Have a good time out there tonight, Jeremy. Report back to me on what ladies are out there.
My friend Jen (not the one who posts here) is gonna be there. She races road already... watch out Krysten!
Oh yeah we're gonna ride (bikes) out to the track and may ride back. Leaving at 4:30 from downtown. If anyone is interested in coming along, whisper.
Not going tonight; I've got a bunch of stuff to do before practice at 8. But yeah, I definitely want to know what ladies are out there, aside from your friend, Jer. I'm sure she'll kick my ass...the roadies always transition really well. Just tell her to hold her fucking line!
Is anyone going this week? It's gonna be my first time.
I might.
i most likely will.
i am going. ive already decided. i would like a companion or two to accompany me since i have never been.
ok ill for sure be there. wanna ride downtown then bus out there?

I'm going to try and make it, have to go find some bars. Or just use my stock Pista bars
cool ill call you on Wednesday.
Start time?
be there before 6 if you have a bike
Per the norm, I'll be teaching
be there by 5:30 if you need to rent a bike, 6:00 if you don't. Early is way better than late.
yeah, finally going to be doing this. hopefully i dont hurt myself
don't do any barspinz in the paceline and you'll prolly be fine.
Take the 54 and not the 44 on accident. Jus sayin.
44's are better for bunny hopping over disc wheels though.
Will be riding out, I'm coming from 122nd & Burnside, should be downtown by 4:30 Hope to be up there by 5, to take off brake and rest a bit.
so after taking the workout of my life at the track today i consumed, one fish taco, one snickers bar, one loaf of french bread with butter and garlic, one strawberry ice cream bar, one totinos pizza, some water.

Haha. Jerome if you didnt weigh like 90lbs dripping wet id say that is too much food. But you obviously dont have an issue burning your calories.
Oh, and im a closet gel addict. Those things rock so hard.
Sorry I wasnt out there y'all. Too much shit going on. I'm trying to figure out if I was going to be able to go to FSA up in Seattle, trying to get my new Teschner in order, along with a bunch of other shit.

My problem with the Gel/Gu stuff is knowing what I know about food and nutrition, that stuff is marked up so damn much for what it actually is and I refuse to buy it. Some people seem to think it's some magical little elixir that allows you to train/race longer and harder but really it's just a mixture of different carbohydrates with a few electrolytes added in (sea salt is good for that too), possibly some poor quality synthetic vitamins that your body won't absorb (millions of years of eating regular food means that our bodies are mostly used to getting vitamins from... regular food), and some green tea extract for caffeine. It's all very simple and easy to buy similar or the same ingredients in bulk and make it at bottom dollar. Personally I just use honey with sea salt but if you want an actual "knockoff" of the real products with the same ratios of certain carbs, there's a website I can forward...
