OK, I'm all for conversions, but taking a nice new Felt time trial bike with vertical dropouts and trying to turn it into a tarck bike?

Often. I've been on a roll lately, and have stripped the threads on two crank arms (different sets). SO I now have two useless cranksets, unless I could find a single matching crankarm somewhere. Somewhere like the intrewebzzz.

Brooks saddle for $85, comes with free rest-of-bike!
http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/bik/698331669.html
Seems good and reasonable. For a shorty like me, too. Is SS-to-fixed as easy a change as I'm assuming it is?
Am I going nuts or is everything "track" related getting horribly overpriced on CL and Ebay?
yep. people think they can rip people off because its "trendy"
they think they can because they can
yeah, because people are dumb and buy stuff without knowing what they are doing
Value is a very relative thing.

Not the best deal ever, but that is a solid decade old road bike. Looks like it has a lot more life in it too. Some people on here have been looking for a roadie to ride around.
I had an RB-2 and liked it really well. Then I wrecked it.

Yeah, im kinda jealous. I bought an RB-2 for like $350+S/H. And that RB-1 is the same bike but with slightly better components, and it has the original wheelset.
If you can get that bike and if it fits well itd be a good entry level racer, once you get up a cat or two then use that Bridgestone for a touring bike. I mean compared to what $300 will get you for a new bike that Bridgestone is gold.
Yeah, I bet he got tons of emails though.. Those bikes usually go for a lot more. Haven't heard back yet.
Damn, it was sold within 30 minutes!
Gitante fixy.
http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/bik/705159091.html
that seat looks sick, max?
I raced my RB-1 for couple years, Bridgestones are solid. repainted and sold it. what was i thinking. hehe ahh well
had an MB-1 also. thinking gotta act fast on craigslist these days, wow
i know how you guys love them khs aero's so call this guy and buy his 56cm one...I seen it and it's in nice shape. give him $500 fr the khs frame the deep vee and the stronglight cranks..
here ya go jennx
^-- I was eyeing that C-Dale a little for my wife. Dont think Ill go through with it though.
that cannondale looks sweet. also i want that spinergy but that thing is only worth like 150 most to me
my roommate is actually buying that cannondale
pista meets crack rock.
Rev X and some other cool bits. I call dibs on the 123s. I already have plans to pick them up.

I've got the Suzue wheelset.
Who wants a 24ct gold bike?
$300 60cm conversion

Someone has to get this, I don't care if it's in Nashville. Custom made, man.

Dear God...
http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/bik/707912526.html
there's your arrospoke.
even though I can get you one, brand new custom painted any color like mine for $325
not buying it.
zacp:and those wood fenders are close to $100 too....
when city bikes sells used full wood fenders (MID SUMMER) they sell them for $10 a set
so, hold on till then
So.. aluminum version of the bargain-basement fixed gear?

Whoever wants a road bike jump on this, $600:
http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/bik/709251300.html
56cm ST and 58cm TT.

Hell buy it and flip it. That price is worth the frame imo. New LS frames start at $1250 w/o a fork, so $600 for a older whole bike is a steal imo. My LS frame alone went for $450 with no components but a headset.
SCRAPER BIKE!
http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/bik/709133006.html

Old Giant but maybe a pretty good road bike for the price, has some good old school parts:

57cm Raleigh conversion, $330:
54cm Fuji track pro with some good components for $700:

I've seen some bootleg-looking bikes around town, but that's one of the ugliest, cheapest-looking thing I've ever laid eyes upon.
Serotta touring bike, looks like 54-56cm for $500:
http://portland.craigslist.org/clk/bik/708988364.html

Man, there is some good stuff on CL today. But someone needs to buy that Land Shark up a few posts.
I emailed about the land shark. that serotta is a killer deal as well.
