OK, I'm all for conversions, but taking a nice new Felt time trial bike with vertical dropouts and trying to turn it into a tarck bike?

Often. I've been on a roll lately, and have stripped the threads on two crank arms (different sets). SO I now have two useless cranksets, unless I could find a single matching crankarm somewhere. Somewhere like the intrewebzzz.

Seems good and reasonable. For a shorty like me, too. Is SS-to-fixed as easy a change as I'm assuming it is?

Am I going nuts or is everything "track" related getting horribly overpriced on CL and Ebay?

Not the best deal ever, but that is a solid decade old road bike. Looks like it has a lot more life in it too. Some people on here have been looking for a roadie to ride around.

I had an RB-2 and liked it really well. Then I wrecked it.

Yeah, im kinda jealous. I bought an RB-2 for like $350+S/H. And that RB-1 is the same bike but with slightly better components, and it has the original wheelset.

If you can get that bike and if it fits well itd be a good entry level racer, once you get up a cat or two then use that Bridgestone for a touring bike. I mean compared to what $300 will get you for a new bike that Bridgestone is gold.

Whoever wants a road bike jump on this, $600:
    http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/bik/709251300.html
    56cm ST and 58cm TT.

Hell buy it and flip it. That price is worth the frame imo. New LS frames start at $1250 w/o a fork, so $600 for a older whole bike is a steal imo. My LS frame alone went for $450 with no components but a headset.
