i'm sure it's not YOUR word, but still, watch the slurs, even while quoting "teh south".

some phil woods. think they're a good deal? $250
everywhere I've looked they're about $325 or so for the pair.
can i get some feedback...pricewise that is, i know their good. they're high flange. is low flange better? what's the difference, that's one thing I really don't know.
thebikebiz has the lowest prices on philwoods and the pair costs 280. the difference between high and low flange is weight for one. low flange also puts more stress on the spokes than a high flange would meaning the high flange is ultimately stronger and more durable
have you been building wheels long? i think you'd enjoy this book:
http://sheldonbrown.com/harris/books.html#brandt
the notion that one type of hub puts more stress that another is simply not true, but one does build a stronger wheel, you just have it backwards. peep the book.
"fits nearly all bannanas" sounds like something Terry Twilstein from Run Ronnie Run invented.
I want one of those banana proctors. They always get bruised up in my bag or jersey pocket.

yo, dont sell that joint for a buck. i'll build more stuff for it. wheels, bikes...hamburgers :)
Haha. It'll go up in price, eBay is always like that. I started at a buck because they charge a certain amount of money per auction based on what you choose as a starting bid, so I'm keeping that little policy of theirs to a minimum... I sold a keirin frame on there last summer and started the price at like $500, those eBay/Paypal fuckers ended up taking 30 or 40 bones off my profit!
Peter Teschner Euro Classic. $900 and no bids with 18h left. $1250 BIN
They were are $3000 AUD MSRP in 2003 or about $2250 US. One of the nicest aluminum frames out there.
c'mon yall build up a sick shifty and impress.....well impress Crosset thats about it.
jk i kid i kid!

shimano 105 isn't really the bee's knees, but it could be a good deal for one of y'all. send a decent conversion his way.
Huh? Shimano 105 is the shit. It's a nice balance - seated above the crappy low end Shimano groups like Tiagra, yet not so expensive as Ultegra or Dura Ace that it's completely out of reach to someone who isn't an aging blue collar worker with a midlife crisis or racer with a discount.
Shifts clean too.
anyone remember that wheelset deal for like 129 awhile back? it was formulas to open pro types for $129 on sale. where'd that link go?

those r da ones.
Should I get em or you think I should just do the, buy at Veloshop and build up at your place? Errrrgggh or just wait for a used wheelset?
handbuilt wheels are always going to be stronger and last longer than factory built ones... you could do up a pretty cheap wheelset with some formula's, decent double butted spokes like dt competition's and whatever rim you like + doug's handbuilding expertise.
just don't skimp out on the spokes and go straight gauge if you go custom, it seriously is better in all aspects to build double butted from the start (stronger, lighter, smoother/more elastic ride) and is only about a $10 or $20 upgrade, but once you build you're stuck with the spokes you got.
Yeah, I don't wanna skimp when it'll only save me twenty to forty bones, but I'm kinda torn about it b/c this bike is a humungo step up from my heavy ass raleigh and kinda wanna take it slow. Don't want to spoil myself too much ya dig?
so you're saying you're in the market for a pair of these...

jvandub:Should I get em or you think I should just do the, buy at Veloshop and build up at your place? Errrrgggh or just wait for a used wheelset?
for 139 thats a deal i cant compete with. you could buy 'em and buy real nice spokes and still come in cheaper than $200 id think.
but get the black ones fer sure
Word. I think I'll go for em but I'll check out what the coOp can get me before I order em. Those black ones are $10 more dougy, you know how many double cheeseburgers that buys. like 10 of em.
yeah but only 4-5 le dobles
word
stumptown:so you're saying you're in the market for a pair of these...
sooooo secksy. basically hed deeps

yo delish future, heres the same bike as mines, but mines not for a giant and some component upgrades. still this one is a steal. even the lo end campy gruppo would e-bay for that asking price. go with $300 cash add in your size frame and done.

650 Deep V's...
real bad set up, the rims and hubs are mismatched (28 hole rims and 24 hole hubs or vice versa)
there are spoking mismatches you can do, like 24hole rims 36 hole hubs, or 24/48 etc.. but 28/24 is just plain bad idea.
i'm hoping you just mised that since its real small print where he cops to it...i'm not trying to play stump your buddy kevin. i know your a stand up dude.
it's not e-bayor CL but there some sick turbo saddles at the recyclery swap meet. a plain black real nice near mint $40, a white special (with th gold rivets/hella rare) for $80 and a decent cond white perforated for $70. he wouldnt budge on the price and i already have both a white and a black one so I passed. did get a nice suntour superbe cog and a dura-ache lockring for $5 tho..
ah i did miss that. i guess you'd miss.. every 7th hole? sounds awkward.

taken from tarckbike, seriously... shimano 600! this might even be my size, the only detail he gives is the tape measure/standover shot, where the ruler looks crooked. probably more like a 54-56 though.
