    Race starts at 4pm, SHARP!

    Registration starts at 2:30 and closes at 3:30. If you're in line at 3:30 you're going to get in. Please, for the sake of the organizers trying to start on time, try to show up early and register. We have a fracking awesome race this year and we're really excited to hear all about it during and after. We secured Laurelhurst park for the end BBQ. There is a permit to allow beer, so if you're over 21 you're golden. There will also be BBQ waiting for you when you get there.

    If you're under 21 please let us know, (we'll check ID's anyhow since we have bars in the manifest). If both team mates are under 21 don't worry, the bar stops will have underage friendly alternatives worth the same number of points. If you're over 21 and you take the underage shortcut points you will not receive credit for that stop. Got it? Good!

    See you all in 9 days! Gonna be amazing!

    1. i work early afternoon sat. is it ok if one partner is there at 3:00 or so and i get there around 4?

    2. if it's a mixed age group (one 21+, one underage), what's the rule?

    If it's a mixed age team the of age rider will have to complete the items involved with over 21 venues (a couple of bars). It just makes it easier for us, hope that's ok.

    It's not the rain that really bothers me, it's the idea of riding for 24 hours and being hot and then getting cold on the downhills, then heating up and cooling down will cramp the shit out of your legs and screw with you.
    I found this to be very true on a 55 mile hike in full gear while stomping through the woods in the military. You get sweaty, then cold and things just start to get all shades of wrong not to mention your feet will blister and chaff raw.
    Wool is a good alternative, if you have anything that is wool wear that. Even if it gets wet it will still hold in your body heat, it just weighs a ton.

    Ok, the race starts at 4 sharp. Both team mates have to be at the start. You can start after 4 if your job is an issue an whatnot but the start won't wait for you and you will virtually be doing the 23 3/4 hour Velo Vulture.

    Also, forgot to say, the start is at Oregon Park, 29th and Irving. Got it? Sweet!

    They can register but the pre-reg price was over on the 31st, so they're in for the $40. That's fine though, when you register you can give me their money. I'm the red-headed guy. Word? Word.
