it's right by the hawthorne bridge on the west side
alex, I'll buy you a beer.
they have a full bar also.
ahnichols:Father's Place it is then, let's go with 3.
are you all going to be there till 7?
till 7? remember registration is at 630, and the race starts at 715
heh, well i don't think i'll be doing the race.. just watching from the sidelines
alrighty then. fair enough
It's so damn beautiful outside, I think we should change Father's Place to one of the parks and brown bag.
alex:heh, well i don't think i'll be doing the race.. just watching from the sidelines
Alex, I'll hang out with you. I'm not racing either, just watching and partying. My bike is out of commission but I really want to watch the race and go to the showing of Mash even though I've seen it a billion times.
Outside sounds great. I get off at 4:30 I can pick up some libations on the way.
Did I ever say I hate working nights?
Grrrrrrrrrr.
Do you still want to meet at father's place and go from there?
I think I'll probably be working until 5:30 or so and then just head up to the start of the race... max are you going to be wearing your speed suit so i can recognize you? :)
Father's Place is fine.
But I may be a few minutes late.
I realized how early 3 was right now.
hahahahaha I've already started drinking yay......
I'm gonna be obliterated tonight.
I'll be a bit late too, I had to help out around the house and still need to get ready and hop on the max.
Wanna just call it 4?
that sounds good
sorry I didn't make it, I got hit by a car on my way there and decided to call it a day.
also my bike is unridable
Hey! Have a goodtime tonight!!! I totally didn't realize that tonight is RJD2.. if the show is super boring i'll head over.
I had fun. I left after footdown/trackstand though.
I had a blast! Thanks to everyone who helped put it on and it was great to meet some new people. Good times.
hope you guys had a good time. sorry if I was short with anyone it was a crazy night.
I plan on doing another one in the future!!!
yea, was fun. thanks for throwing it together.
dude it was so good meeting you all seriously. I'm fucking wasted right now, its so stupid ridiculous (wow that took fucking forever to type well that last word.) jfdsl;kgjnla;hnoa;lhhngkdflngfld;ahngfkdlnb dfm,.snfdklka
yahhhhhh waaaaaaaaasssteeeeeedddddddddddddddd........................................
Hey,
I didn't get to hangout much, but I did get some shots before the start of the alleycat, enjoy! See ya next time. Nice turn out by the way!
scottsdale was crucial
scottsdale was creepy as shit.
nice photos brujo.
this was hands down the coolest looking dude there

and i finished ahead of him so i'm satisfied with how i did
for real man everyone just need to chill here in pdx its not a fucking comp to see who can be the coolest ! you know, just ride an fucking have fun thats its..... che
ssspenser:the mash thing looks really cool i think ill join in on that. track stand comps are so much fun. and about that and portland massacre and pdxfixed and races and everything iv been trying really hard to get everyone to be in a good mood about it and not get to elitist or be too cool to show up and have fun so just do everything you can to get people to participate and have a good time. i just get so pissed when people ride by on there expensive track bikes and laugh at people on conversions and what not. i think this site will help though
great photos, brujo.
my favorites were the tree hung with bikes, and the starting line one with everyone either in a runner's position or the too-cool-to-get-in-a-runner's-position position, haha.
it looks like you all had fun, and that's beautiful.
i wish i coulda been there. i will, however, be at filmed by bike tonight.
i had fun. i didnt finish cause i got lost but whatever it was a good time.
thanks to jenn for doing that up. I had lots of fun putting faces with names and drinkin beers with max and Alex.
Bummer bout them tickets alex, ouch. wish I could help somehow, maybe sell some FREE THE ALEX t-shirts?
Quote of the night "ANOTHER PISTA GOES DOWN!!!!" -yung jeezy
To the racers that got hit, hope yer well.
just thought of this, and how I can help out a lil bit.
If you tweaked yer wheel(s) last night, either by getting hit, wrecking or even just banging it up fucking around drunk in the parking lot, I'll true 'em up for ya, FREE, just have yer spoke card to prove you competed.
I can fix some really taco'd shit, due to my BMX past life.
Great Pics Brujo! I was excited to see myself in a couple.
How many people actually ended up racing. I wanna say around 50, but I'm not sure. Is there an official number?
it was 52 that officially entered
Max is NOW!:Don't be too afraid. Theres only so many paths downtown with the one ways.
one ways don't mean shit. you can get ticketed for going against traffic, but you can totally ignore street directions. the "dangerous stuff" is only dangerous if you're stupid.
Max is NOW!:It's so damn beautiful outside, I think we should change Father's Place to one of the parks and brown bag[/i].
hey, that's my favorite bar!
despite breaking my toe clip at the start, i had an awesome time. everyone was really nice and things went pretty smoothly. i hope someone is planning another alleycat for soon.
oh and midnight mystery ride was super fun too. i'm doing that shit every month now.
haha, another pista goes down. that was a fun comp
Props to Jenn an Seth for putting on an awesome race. And to the dude that just threw his prizes across the room, show some fukn respect!
darren from scottsdale never forget
who's darren from scottsdale ha!
sketchy fucking dude lurking, you remember

yah, homie kept saying he wanted to enter his boat and race it. and lying there staring at seth.
damn I didn't even go as far as asking/wanting to know his name. that helps.
sketchy ass, frying balls, tripping, mother fucker!

Just a few snaps of the start.
anyone else got any pictures??!!!?
I'm gonna put mine up here soon.
jenn -- thanks for putting this together it was good fun (despite the fact that it's going to cost me way more than my bike did)
did you guys ever end up watching the movie?
what was the name of the hip hop guy who was performing around 11? he was awesome and i want to go check him out again.
This was my first race, shit was super fun even though a homie and I took a sliiiiight detour...passed the Kingston stop and climbed that bastard hill all the way to the Washington Park train station. Caught dude on the way back down but didn't get to Laurelwood in time.
Cheers to Jenn and everyone for setting it up, plus there really couldn't have been a better day for it. Fuckin' rad.
Awesome race. Shout out Jenn, Seth, everyone at the checkpoints (and everyone else who made this possible). The movie was mad sick, too.
The race, footdown, and trackstand was awesome. Thanks Jenn+Seth. Does anyone else have pictures from the race?
