Thank god the doctors only think it'll be about two weeks before I can "casually" ride a bike. But even two weeks sounds like hell (I know I shouldn't be complaining, you have a lot longer than that). My coach thinks I can be riding by next week, so we'll see how that goes. At this point I'm getting better at walking but I have serious trouble with sitting down/getting up. I definitely won't be racing for quite some time, not really sure on specifics though.

People need to be on this ride!

if the gash is longer than one patch, use the long patch or two overlapping patches. the key is to use alot of glue, then wait a full 3 min (time it!) before applying the patch. you can also use sections of another tube if you clean of the talc and scuff em well enough.

failing this, get aride downtown with yer bike and ill bring tube etc...
