    so my buddy zak got his front wheel stolen yesterday, it's a specialized carbon tri-spoke. here's what he said about it:

    "someone stole my silly carbon tri-spoke front wheel from the front of rotture tonight.
    its got a big resin patch on the front side of one of the spokes. no stickers, clincher, aluminum rim
    if you see it, grab it and gimme a call. ill buy you mucho beers.

    I think in the thread titled "where not to lock your bike up," in front of roturre was mentioned more than once on the list. I was there last night too, but didn't see any carbon specialized rims. Oh well, that sucks. Was the wheel locked to anything or just unbolted?

    Same thing happened to me at Goodwill on grand, except it was a cheapie wheel.
    Did he call City Bikes and let them know?

    that's fucking lame! i was talking to zak about how he just got it off ebay not too long ago when i was in town. was it locked up with the rest of the bike?

    I saw zak's tri-spoke last night, but that was pretty early in the evening. The only people I saw hanging around that bike pile, were people that should be.

    that is lame. i am riding down there on sunday it does suck when you have to be nervous the whole time at a show that outside your bike or parts might be going home with someone else.

    yah that's awesome if you guys can keep an eye out for it. so just remember if you're down in the SE industrial district lock up your shit correctly......end of story. lets use this thread for other shit that's gets stolen. and yah poor zak man.

    i know the one, by the way i believe it was 650 c or smaller, correct me if i'm wrong, so its pretty obvious. i will most deffly keep an eye out.

    Nah, it's a 700c. Really glossy looking one, not HED more like a late 90's Specialized. No logos.

    It's got a repair spot on it, like a big glob of glue. That would be a good way to ID it.

    that's a good idea, using this thread, but over time it'll get really messy with the chit chat. it could work. sf has a separate forum, that seems to work for them.

    I think the city of portland stole my girlfriend's bike tonight... Admittedly it was not the smartest thing to do to lock it up to a mobile fence put up for the parade but my friend tells me a humungo truck took my girlfriend's ride along with around 12 others on these, now come to find out, temporary fences that were set up close to Scooters on 13th and SW Washington. Damn son... Luckily have the serial number and a good description. Fuck!!! I was flipping out when i left the bar this evening and since cooled down a bit.

    My friend posted something about this bike being stolen.
    This is all the info I have..
    there is a picture of it in my photos. back before it had cruiser bars and stickers.

    if anyone from portland reads this...be on the look out for a mint green bike with cruiser bars cork grips(broken) it has stickers on it but they might be taken off. its a surly long haul trucker but there are no decals on it. it has 26 inch wheels.
    has a rear rack and silver fenders with leather mud flaps. brooks b-17 saddle.

    I love that bike its been across america with me. so hopefully with your help I can get it back.

    so last night i saw a bum rocking a pista outside the satyricon last night, it had orange-ish bar tape, set up with a freewheel, both front and rear brakes on it. looked to be around a 54cm.

    anyone know of anyone missing one.
