E-A-G-L-E-S!

HAHA Okay abe, third eagles I've read, and I have to say, better than 99% of the shit I read on here.
only the third?
Now I've seen about 20, it's still awesome. I even saw a bad ass video about it lol
I am so confused
can I road fuck you sean?
so besides kellys bullshit, are we still riding guys?
kelly:yes
jerome:yes
sounds good then.
stumptown:Hills and headwinds on today's ride. The two descents pushing 50x12 and riding in the drops / staying off the brakes made it more than worth it. My head is rushing with endorphins right now like I've been on a half hour roller coaster. This is why gears are the shit...
Where'd you ride man?
3 climbs: Gimpl, Briggs Hill, and Fox Hollow (back way) with flat on Loraine. Quickly becoming one of my favorite rides because the descents are so damn fun. Some puke-inducing climbs to get to them though.
Dude, when I lived in Eugene I used to ride Loraine hwy all the bloody time. I used to take Chambers until it hit Loraine, then follow that out to Crow, then loop around the lake by the airport. I remember that one MASSIVE climb on Loraine by that little ghetto market. Shit sucked.
God, I do miss Eugene.
For sure, if there's one good thing about Eugene, it's that the road riding is good times and you can get out of the city pretty fast without having to go through a million stop lights.
Did you ever do Macbeth or Fox Hollow, Kevin? Macbeth is our stomping grounds for sure...
Not that I remember. Back then I was riding more to get rid of pent up anger and just let my mind wander than actually training. That was back in 11/12 grade
I did 1.5h on the rollers tonight. Monotonous but effective, all the powertap data kept me interested. I've been sick and/or injured for the last two weeks so I've been taking things easy. I got a little bored at min 55-60. But other than that I was just trying to get some sub-threshold base going.

sounds technical

oh noes. eugene. what HS did you go to?
Man, seeing all that really makes me want to train with a power meter.
Sean, today looks good weather-wise. I need to burn off some steam. Oh yeah, and train so I dont get my ass handed to me again. Whats your sched like?
Jeezy, sorry, I may be up for something tomorrow too. But if not next week.
aahhh...alas I have to work today!! tomorrow is my only free day and I am riding rain or shine if i am to avoid not killing myself on sunday.
what time are you available tomorrow people?
Well I may be riding both days. But today is 10% chance of rain and high of 56. Too good to pass up.
srsly...ride for me
Used to go to South Eugene. Home of the giant ass purple building.
Lived on the East side of Hendrick's park
Going for a ride today. Beaverton up Skyline to hwy 30 to Sauvies and back. Then go to work. Then ride home from work
uh oh axemen in the house. yeah I went to south too.
Riding after work Ben? Let's go.
I was gonna ride during work (kinda of skipped lunch). When you free?
Hows your back? I was gonna hit some hills. Tabor/Rocky/Tabor.
hey roadie dudes. my neck and shoulders cramp when I ride in the drops for more than 10 miles...sup with that shit.
Your fit aint legit? Too much/little reach? Weird wrist angle?
I had some crappy profile bars on the shark, and barely used the drops. Put on some Ritchey Biomax bars, suddenly they are super comfy.
I ride on the hoods 70% of the time or so. Then split the rest between drops and tops. If Im trying to go fast and keep my profile down I can sit in the drops a good while, but I have enough saddle to bar drop that im already a littel hunched over by default.

Spend some time on the bike. It's supposed to hurt a little.

Bike fit issue. Probably bars too low and your neck gets tired of being titled up. Is this on track drops?
bar width possibly

Still can't climb well, but am feeling better. I'll hit the rolllers and see you another day.

Man, my neck hurt soooo bad after the banana belt (like the next day). It was weird. I think I was just stressin and maybe slept weird on it too.
thats what I was thinking, just them muscles is gone.
also: luciano saw me rubbing the outside of my knee, lower thigh and said I needed some IT band work. WTF does that mean?
freebird:grimm:I was gonna ride during work (kinda of skipped lunch). When you free?

For sure. Id love to go on a long flat ride, but I gotta get in some pain for the BB.
And with the days getting longer it should be easier to ride after work here soon.
yeah track drops.
Could be do to a weak core. Not sayin' you have one, but this could be an issue. If the abs and back aren't strong all the weight is put on the shoulders an neck.
If this isn't an issue, and you have six pac abs or something, it might be a reach/drop issue.

When are you going out? I have a paper due at 4, then I'm free.

You know those little foam rolls at the veloswap right across from you? There are some exercises you can do to help with that. Or jsut take it easy and hope it gets better.
Can you feel your knee hurt when going down stairs? If so its def the ITBS.

I was actually gonna jet from work really soon. I can wait till 4ish though.
Itll be a good work out trying to keep up with you small frame climber type. :)
crossett your on to something. I have no core strength. But I will get some. Doing these crunches and this other thing called "the plank"
well...I am going out tomorrow for something excruciating. If I don't hear from anyone tonight I am probably gonna go around midday or earlier but will wait if i get a definitive yes from someone
Core strength is everything. All I have right now are a bunch of loose ribs clacking together and it fucking sucks. My skeleton is all fucked up.
ITBS is a bitch, and has been troubling me off and on for years. It's a tough stretch, but DO it before the thing gets really inflamed and you can't even look at a bike. Had me off for 4 months one time and I was hating life..
There's a minor surgery that will fix it too, if nothing else works.
Damn Abe, wish there was something I could do to help. You have ins for a doc?
I took a couple yoga classes, and im surprised how much it kicked my ass. Core strength is zero for me.
Crossett, so you in? Can you swing up to my neck of the woods after your paper? Give me a ring.
No insurance= mucho, long-term pain for me. But, I'm used to it, and I always heal up eventually.
I think if I can overcome the pain enough to get fit, it will be less of an issue for me. I need to lose 15 pounds like yesterday...
K, well lets figure out some more flat long road rides. The hard part is I race on Sun, and work all week. Making my only free day Sat, which is the day before I race so I cant kill myself. =/
Maybe a little 20-30 miler after (or before if you can wake up). Im down. I need to start doing more stuff besides commuting and weekend rides.
call me tomorrow sean
yeah i will
whisper sweet nothings to me tomorrow sean
hehe...k
You still riding tonight Ben?
