    This is a duathlon... 5 mile run 12 miles mountain biking around Hagg lake. There is a singlespeed category and a cyclocross category. Considering doing this on my singlespeed cyclocross bike but I've mountain biked Hagg lake before and I'm worried it might just destroy my cyclocross bike. What do you all think?

    I signed up. Singlespeed, of course. I've not ridden the course, but I heard from a friend that it is fairly technical and not well-suited to a cross bike.

    Yeah I've ridden this course on my rigid single speed mountain bike a bunch. Wouldn't recommend riding it on a cross bike unless it was a real beater (i baby my cross bike a bit too much, but it's the only bike i have right now)
